The Round Still Counts: Posting It Afterwards

Kept a paper card, or forgot to start the app? Post the round afterwards (hole by hole, a total, or a photo of the card) and it lands in your history.

Post your last round for free

Not every round gets scored on a phone, and it should not have to be. Some days the card is in the cart and that is where the scores go. Some days you are on the 6th before anybody remembers the app. Some rounds were played last month, on a trip, before you had heard of this.

All of them can still be in your record. There are three ways in.

1. Post a round

Post a round takes any past date.

If a game was on it, pick the game first: Post a round takes the same games, sides and prices as Start a round, and they settle off the holes when you post.

2. Photograph the paper card

After the round, open its card, photograph the paper one, and the app reads it and proposes the scores. Every cell is editable, the reads it is unsure of are flagged, and nothing saves until you confirm. It checks the card’s written totals against what the holes add up to.

It matches each row to a golfer already on the card and never invents a player. Three scans a day. (How the scanner works, and how to shoot a card so it reads first time.)

3. If there was money on it

Post a round is the same screen as Start a round, with the day it was played on it. Pick the game the group played, say who was on which side and what it was for, enter the scores, and the money settles off the holes the way it would have live. Changed the stakes partway round? Say the hole.

What a posted round does for you

It is in your history with its date, course and score. Posted hole by hole, it feeds your scoring average, best round, birdies and eagles; a nine counts toward your rounds and birdies, and scoring average and best round come from full eighteens.

Plenty of groups never change how they play: paper in the cart, and the card posted at the 19th hole. The history and the stats build either way.
