A season, in order

1

Make the team

On You, tap Coach a team. Give it a name and a season.

2

Add the roster

By name, or share the team code and players join.

3

Practise and play

Practices and matches on the calendar, drills logged at practice.

4

Pick the lineup

From the qualifier, then send it to the team.

The roster

Players join with the team code.

Add players by name, or tap Share on the team code. A player opens the link, taps Join, and you pick their row.

A player under 18 needs a parent’s yes. That parent sees the team and can answer for them.

The calendar

Every practice and match asks who’s in.

A player or their parent answers In or Out, and only the team reads it. A match against a team on Swilkin asks its coach; for anyone else, type the school.

After the match, type their total. Every match plays five and counts the lowest four, and the match says Won by 11 or Lost by 3.

Practice

A drill board from every practice.

At practice, type each player’s result on a drill. It counts as that player’s own practice too.

The board shows each player’s result at the last practice, their best and their last five. The whole team reads it.

Qualifiers and lineups

The lineup comes from the qualifier.

A qualifier is an event on the team where every round counts, with its own board.

For a match, place who plays, in order, and the alternates. Each spot keeps its reason: the player’s place on the qualifier, or that you moved them up. Send posts the lineup to the team; a reason reaches only that player and their parents.

A match lineup on a phone: five playing in order from the qualifier, Amara Johnson in as the coach’s pick from sixth, and three alternates, sent Thursday

Posts

Tell the team once.

A coach’s post goes to every player and to the parents who said yes. The season’s thread is where the team talks, and you can hide a line or close it.

A player under 18 isn’t buzzed after 9 pm.

What golfers ask before they try it

Can kids use it?

Yes. A junior does everything except play for stakes, cash or beers. Playing for stakes is 18+. You can still set up any match. Scoring, stats, events, and every match on the list work the same. A junior can even be on a match the adults are playing for money, a parent and child against another pair, and they play for their side without owing or collecting anything, and never see a figure. A match played for something needs someone of age on at least two sides, so a parent against their own child plays it as a friendly match. The date of birth on file is what answers it, and it is also how the age limits an organizer sets (junior, senior) find the right golfers.

Can it run a real tournament?

Yes: sign-ups with a waitlist, field management, flights (re-flighted after a round if you want), cuts, tee times or a shotgun (emailed to the field), side bets between players, even across groups, live leaderboards, a big-screen TV board, and a public event page your players can find. While it plays you see which groups are posting, and an Official on your club's staff can lock or reopen a round. Next year's edition can start with the series' roster already seated. Built for the events Golf Genius prices out.

Does it track my stats?

Scoring average, best round, birdies and eagles, and, when you track them, fairways, greens, and putts, with honest benchmarks for your handicap. It reads those numbers back to you too (which side you miss fairways, how often you three-putt, how the birdies-to-doubles spread is running) alongside your trend against earlier rounds and your weeks-in-a-row streak. Stats only count rounds you actually logged. A nine counts toward your rounds, birdies and fairway, green and putt stats; scoring average and best round come from full eighteens.

How much does it cost?

Free for golfers: scoring, bets, stats, rivalries, all of it. Running an event is free too: sign-ups, boards, leagues, all of it. No card, no per-event fee, and no trial that ends. Nobody in your foursome pays to get charged a skin.
