Make a practice plan

Practice lives on You. Log minutes on their own, or follow a plan with drills in it. Either way it adds up by week.

  1. 1

Start from your rounds, or from scratch

With your index on file and fairways, greens and putts tracked when you score, Practice suggests a plan for where your rounds lose shots. Or tap Make a plan.

  2. 2

    Add the drills

Tap Add a drill. The library is sorted by what each drill works on: putting, short game, approach, driving, and on course. Make it yours copies any drill so you can change it.

  3. 3

    Pick the days

Tap the days you will practise, then how long the plan runs: 2 to 12 weeks, or until you stop. Turn on a reminder and pick the time.

A practice plan on a phone: Ball striking, with Start line gate, Carry numbers, and Wedge ladder 50–100, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, about 60 minutes twice a week
  4. 4

    Log it

On a plan day, Practice shows it under Today with a Log button. Type each drill’s result, or only the minutes. Tap + Log for practice that isn’t on a plan.

  5. 5

    Set a weekly goal

Tap the minutes beside This week to set a goal. The bar fills as you log, and By week splits your time into range, short game, putting, and on course.

Practice on a phone: this week 90 of 180 minutes, three weeks in a row at goal, today’s Ball striking plan done; from your rounds, 73% of practice is range while the rounds lose most on the green (34 putts a round, typically 33 for a 10-handicap), with the 3-6-9 ladder to add to a plan or log
  6. 6

    Watch a drill move

Each drill keeps your last result, your best and your average over the last five. Set a mark to aim at, and a result that meets it gets a tick.
