The money line — read this one

Swilkin never holds, transfers, or processes money. Ever. The app is a scorekeeper and a calculator: it tracks the games your group chooses to play and shows who owes whom. Any actual exchange of money happens entirely between you and your friends, outside the app — cash on the 18th green or your own Venmo/PayPal/Cash App accounts. We are not a party to your wagers, we take no cut, and we hold no pot.

Friendly golf wagers are treated differently by different places. You're responsible for making sure your group's games are lawful where you play. Money features require an adult birthdate (18+) and can be ignored entirely — golf first, always.

Your account

• You must be 13 or older. Money features require 18+ with a birthdate on file.
• Keep your password to yourself; you're responsible for what happens on your account.
• One account per human. Adding buddies by name is what the app is for — impersonating a real person to fake results isn't.

Your content

Your scores, rounds, names and photos stay yours. You give Swilkin permission to store and display them to the people you share them with — that's what the app does. Organizers control what their public event pages show; posting a score into an event means it becomes part of that event's record.

Fair play

Don't abuse the service: no scraping, no spamming invites, no trying to break into other accounts, no using Swilkin to run anything that looks like a gambling business rather than a golf group. We can suspend accounts that do.

The honest disclaimers

• Swilkin is provided as is, free for golfers, while it's built in the open. It will have bugs. We work hard to keep your data safe and the math right, but we can't promise uninterrupted service or that every number is perfect — check anything that matters before money changes hands.
• To the maximum extent the law allows, Swilkin's liability to you is limited to what you've paid us — which, for golfers, is nothing.
• Settle disputes over a game the way golf always has: on the next tee. Disputes with us: email first, we'll make it right — [email protected].

Changes & goodbyes

We may update these terms as the product grows; material changes get announced, not buried. You can close your account any time (see the privacy policy for deletion). We can close accounts that break these terms.
